Our lives will forever be changed by this day. Our beautiful city is forever changed by this day. My family is blessed! We only experienced power outage. My mom had several tree limbs down in her yard. She will have to replace the roof and a shed but she is fine! This is the first devastation my children have ever experienced. Bette understood the magnitude when she told me "I will have to tell my children, I remember when the tornado hit..." She is aware that she may never experience anything like this again. My selfish prayer is that she never will have to experience anything like this again. I have been extremely proud of all 3 of my children. Bette helped out at Loyd Wood Middle School on Saturday. She helped move Holt Elementary into this empty school building. She would find whatever she could lift off the truck and deliver it to the classroom She also helped unpack boxes, clean tables and chairs, and organize. I have been praying for the 2nd grade classroom that we worked in. I pray the students in that classroom are comforted by 2nd graders love for them even though she does not know them. My sweet boys helped out also. Mark, Bette, and I walked into a clean house late Saturday afternoon. Brown took it upon himself to clean my bedroom and closet. They knew that it would be a tremendous help to me! I am still processing all the devastation as are my children. I am praying that our city wakes up and turns their eyes to Jesus!!
