Bette's Famous Inventors Museum

Bette's 2nd grade class had presented a famous inventors museum in the cafeteria at TPS. Bette's inventor was Margaret E. Knight. She was most known for her inventions of the brown paper bag folding machine.

An Eventful 2011...

It has been a while since I posted but it has not been for lack of events in the lives of the Patterson's. Since January, I have to a new classroom and a new church building! In January, my classroom at TPS caught on fire due to the heating unit. I did lose lots of personal and school materials but I have also been blessed by the experience. I have been blessed by my church. They have been there for words of support and generous gifts and donations to my new classroom. I have also been blessed by my school family. My classroom parents and students were extremely supportive. My school family (staff and teachers) have been unbelievable. They pitched in and helped in so many ways. I can never repay everyone or say THANKS enough. Also we have moved to a new church building. We have loved being a part of North River and the tremendous growth. We will have our first worship service in our new building tomorrow! It has been a long journey but it has been an amazing experience. Those are proably the 2 biggest events in the Patterson's lives so far in 2011 and I am looking forward to what else God has in store for us.
Back to everyday life:
This week we have been celebrating Bette's 8th birthday! She is an amazing little girl. Today she went to her first Alabama Basketball game with her daddy. She told me she did not like the way the fans tried to distract the Georgia team. She said it was not nice. She also said since no one was trying to distract Alabama's team then it really wasn't fair. Bette is all about some fairness. I think it may have something to do with being a middle child. We also celebrated by going to Sips N Strokes. Brown, Bette, and Kerr all painted Big AL. It was Kerr and Bette's first time. (pictures to come soon) She loved it! Her most favorite gift has been her pink lap top from her Uncle Paul. (can we say spoiled)
That is enough rambling for tonight~pictures and more rambling coming soon!
